Northern Tallinn will have a modern health center
The new health centre of the West Tallinn Central Hospital (LTKH) will replace the current Kopli Polyclinic (address Sõle 63).
According to plans, the new centre should be completed by the end of 2021 and will be called the North Tallinn Health Center according to the district.
The goal is to create conditions that meet the needs and requirements for providing primary health care services to the residents of the North-Tallinn district, but also to other patients in Kopli and Pelgulinn.
New and modern building, will allow for significantly improved room layouts and working conditions that will be comfortable for both patients as well as employees.
Patients will be seen at the health centre by both family doctors and nurses as well as several medical specialists from the LTKH, as well as physical therapists, midwives, mental health nurses, psychologists, also optometrist and pharmacy. Dentists will certainly play an important part at the new health centre as well.
The health centre will be equipped to conduct the most common procedures, including X-rays, ultrasound examinations, blood tests and electrocardiograms (ECG).
The aim is to ensure that all primary health care services are provided on site and on modern infrastructure, and there are rooms for a flower shop and a cafe also planned.
As a result of the project, the quality of health care services in North Tallinn will increase and their availability improve.
In addition, the demolition of the depreciated Kopli polyclinic building and the construction of a new one will allow significant savings in energy and maintenance costs.
The provision of healthcare services in the new building is also more patient-centered.
