Even a building that appears uniform from the outside is, in fact, an exclusive creation.

The German retail giant Lidl has entrusted ESPLAN’s design team with the planning of 14 stores in Estonia, in addition to creating architectural concepts for six more. The first joint project was completed in 2019.

This collaboration has primarily resulted in the design of two-storey stores—with parking on the ground floor and a sales area on the upper level. In addition, the team has designed single-storey stores (both with and without canopies), as well as store expansions within existing buildings.

Design briefs for projects like Lidl’s are exceptionally extensive. And while to the untrained eye all stores may seem identical, each building is in fact an exclusive creation that presents the project team with ongoing opportunities for learning and development.

We are deeply grateful to Lidl for their trust and look forward to continuing our cooperation on future projects.
