Our role as designers was to develop a contemporary manufacturing facility for the textile industry.

Trimtex Baltic OÜ is a subsidiary of the Norwegian company Trimtex Sport AS, which specializes in the production of sportswear. The Estonian branch began operations in 2008 and has grown steadily since. As production activities in Norway have been scaled down and shifted to Estonia, the need for new manufacturing facilities emerged.

Our task as designers was to create a modern textile industry complex, consisting of two separate buildings connected by a gallery. The larger building houses product development, design, printing and cutting operations, raw material reception, and packaging of finished goods. The second building is dedicated to sewing operations. Both buildings also include production areas as well as welfare and office spaces for employees.

The site conditions presented a challenge due to complex soil properties, which required the buildings to be designed with pile foundations. The spatial layout was carefully developed in close cooperation with the client and enables optimal organization of production processes.
