The building’s design puts the visitor at the center.
This project involved the design of a new administrative building for the Põhja-Tallinn District Government and the Kopli Hobby School.
To ensure the building’s diverse functions operate efficiently, numerous smart building solutions were incorporated. The structure also adheres to the strictest energy efficiency standards, utilizing as many passive cooling strategies as possible to minimize environmental impact.
Given the building’s rich form and detailing, the architect chose to emphasize two primary façade colors: white and black. Combined with the building’s distinctive geometry, this gives the structure a contemporary and modern appearance. It is easily recognizable and visible from all directions.
The placement of the building took into account natural movement patterns of people across the site. The user experience was prioritized above all, with particular attention paid to ensuring accessibility and comfort for individuals with mobility, visual, or hearing impairments.
