Modern and functional apartment building, Kiili 12

“The greatest challenge in designing the Kiili 12 apartment building was the construction of the solid concrete foundations and posts, which on the one hand provide the residents with an easy-access parking area, while on the other taking the weight of a four-storey building. Working with the architect, we attempted to solve the construction problem in such a way that the rooms would be open and spacious enough for users of the building whilst retaining the exciting architecture. Here I primarily mean the unique stairwell and window openings, which are arranged asymmetrically on the façade and slightly offset in relation to one another vertically.

Any questions and issues that the builder had were promptly addressed, ensuring a solution that satisfied all parties. Working with the architect was a very smooth process, since our shared contribution led to the erection of an energy-efficient apartment building with the optimal constructions and a comprehensive space solution.”
